Protsessakh, 18-23. Edited by: Lukashik, N. K. Grodn. Gos. Med. Inst.: Grodno, USSR. (Russian) 1983. CODEN: 52UZAG. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 18 (Animal Nutrition) Thiamin diphosphate [154-87-0] or thiochrome [92-35-3] introduced s.c. at therapeutic doses (2.5 mg/kg for 10 days) to rats did not significantly affect riboflavin [83-88-5] metab. by the liver: the levels of riboflavin, FAD [146-14-5], and FAD-dependent enzymes (succinate- [9002-02-2], NADH- [9079-67-8], and NADPH- [9001-68-7] dehydrogenases) were similar to those in untreated controls. Thiamin monophosphate [495-23-8] or oxythiamin [136-16-3] at the same doses increased liver riboflavin, FAD, and FAD-dependent enzyme levels.

CODEN: VPITAR. ISSN: 0042-8833. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 18 (Animal Nutrition) Mice raised on a thiamin [59-43-8]-deficient diet from body wt. 22-24 g for 21 days showed gradual decreases in blood transketolase [9014-48-6] (with redistributions of halo and apo forms), similar decreases in liver thiamin diphosphate [154-87-0], and increases in liver thiamin phosphokinase [62213-38-1] and thiamin pyrophosphatase [9038-53-3]. Thiamin diphosphate also decreased in other organs (kidney, spleen, heart, and to a lesser extent brain), muscle, and blood.
