Thus, polymethylene polyphenyl isocyanate 107, I 15, silicone surfactant 1.0, Et3N catalyst 1.0, and foaming agent 40.0 parts were mixed 15 sec and added to 100 parts sorbitol-based polyol. The resulting foam was classified self-extinguishing according to ASTM D 1692.

(molding temp. 350.degree.). The thermal degassing significantly reduced the tendency to foam during molding. .
