DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 39 (Synthetic Elastomers and Natural Rubber) Heptamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (I) [15721-05-8] was treated with triallylamine [102-70-5] to give heptamethyl-N,N-bisallyl-g-aminopropylcyclotetrasiloxane [106246-29-1], which was polymd. with I to give the title silicone rubber. The rubber could be cured with peroxide or Pt catalyst in the presence of H-contg. silicone oil. The rubber showed autovulcanization and could be vulcanizable via salt formation with organohalides. .

A mixt. of hexamethyldisiloxane 0.7, cyclic dimethylsiloxane tetramer 9.7, poly(methyl hydrogen siloxane) 1.5, and I 18.8 g was stirred 22 h at room temp. and the product was neutralized with NaHCO3, treated with activated charcoal, and worked up to give Me3SiO(Me2SiO)62(MeRSiO)10(MeSiO)6SiMe, where R = (3-sulfolan-3-yloxy)propyl. The polymethylsiloxane was treated with CH2:CHCH2(OCH2CH2)26.4(OCH2CHMe)30OMe [52232-27-6] to give a block copolymer useful as a stabilizer for the manuf. of flexible polyester polyol foams. .
