- Study of heavy elements structure with in-beam a-,b- and g-ray spectroscopy. Meyer, R. A.; Decman, D. J.; Henry, E. A.; Hoff, R. W.; Mann, L. G.; Struble, G. L.; Ussery, L. E. (Nucl. Chem. Div., Lawrence Livermore Natl. Lab., Livermore, CA 94550, USA). In-Beam Nucl. Spectrosc., Proc. Int. Symp., Volume 2, 399-423. Edited by: Dombradi, Zsolt; Fenyes, Tibor. Akad. Kiado: Budapest, Hung. (English) 1984. CODEN: 54DSAQ. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 70 (Nuclear Phenomena) In-beam superconducting conversion e spectrometer and its use in a (t,p) p-conversion e coincidence mode are described. Several examples of completed and on-going investigations are presented. These include: EO strength from the 238U fission isomer; electromagnetic properties of the Jp = 6+ and 8+ states of 210Pb [14255-04-0]; single particle and cluster states of 213Fr [17620-09-6]; the Jp = 21/2+ isomer in 197Au and 199Au [14391-11-8]; and the cluster states of 199Au. Results of the study of odd-odd deformed 244Am [15756-26-0] are presented. The latter results performed by using n-capture g-ray and conversion techniques are compared to recent developments in the modeling of deformed odd-odd nuclei.

G.; Schreckenbach, K.; Barreau, G.; Warner, D. D. (Lawrence Livermore Natl. Lab., Livermore, CA 94550, USA). Phys. Rev.Several substances with their cas registry numbers 12587-47-2 and 13981-15-2 may be metioned in this study. C, 29(2), 618-22 (English) 1984. CODEN: PRVCAN. ISSN: 0556-2813. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 70 (Nuclear Phenomena) Gamma rays and conversion e were measured for the 244Am [15756-26-0] b-decay isomers in an 243Am target undergoing n capture in a high-flux reactor. New transitions accompanying b-decay of 26-min 244mAm were obsd. These include 984.92- and 977.80-keV E0 transitions assigned to the deexcitation of the 1st-excited 0+ band in 244Cm [13981-15-2] with level energies of 984.91 (0+) and 1020.76(2+) keV. The ratio of reduced transition probabilities B(E0)/B(E2) for the 0+ level is 1.5 ± 0.2. .
