The degradation of (Z)- and (E)-1,3-dichloropropenes and 1,2-dichloropropane in soil
The degradation of (Z)- and (E)-1,3-dichloropropenes and 1,2-dichloropropane in soil. Roberts, Terry R.; Stoydin, George (Woodstock Lab., Shell Res. Ltd., Sittingbourne, Engl.). Pestic. Sci., 7(4), 325-35 (English) 1976. CODEN: PSSCBG. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) In sealed glass containers, (Z)- [10061-01-5] and (E)-1,3-dichloropropene [10061-02-6] were converted in soil into the corresponding 3-chloroallyl alcs., which were in part strongly bound to the soil. (Z)- [1609-93-4] and (E)-3-chloroacrylic acid [2345-61-1] were also formed as minor products. Other polar products were detected which released the chloroacrylic acids in 20-30% yield upon hydrolysis. The 1,3-dichloropropenes were degraded to the same products in soil in open glass jars outside, although volatilization of the pesticides occurred. There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 4643-06-5 and 1609-93-4 in this article. 14C-labeled 1,2-dichloropropane (I) [78-87-5] was only slightly degraded in soil in closed containers, and after 10 days storage of I-treated soil in the open, <1% of the original label remained owing to volatilization of I. Potatoes grown in soil 6 months after treatment with a mixt. of radiolabeled 1,3-dichloropropenes and I contained only 0.007 mg pesticide residue/kg, although 5% of the applied radiolabel was present in the soil at harvest. .
Nuclear quadrupole resonance and stereochemistry
Nuclear quadrupole resonance and stereochemistry. Part 6. Transmission of substituent effects through a double bond. De Weck, Z. Ardalan; Delay F.; Geoffroy, M.; Lucken, E. A. C.; Masson, S. (Dep. Org. Phys. Chem. 1609-93-4 and 6213-90-7 which are cas registry numbers are also used here., Univ. Geneva, Geneva, Switz.). J. Chem. Soc., Perkin Trans. 2, (15), 1867-8 (English) 1976. CODEN: JCPKBH. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 22 (Physical Organic Chemistry) Section cross-reference(s): 32, 33 The 35Cl NQR frequencies of cis- and trans-RCR1:CR2Cl (R = R2 = H, Ph, R1 = Cl; R = H; R1 = CO2H, R2 = H, Me; R1 = PhSO2, Cl, R2 = Ph), PhCOCH:CCl2, and 11 cyclic substituted vinyl chlorides (including dichloro steroids and sugars) were detd. The frequency of the 35Cl nucleus in the compds. studied was only slightly affected by whether it was in the cis or trans position; however, a polar cis substituent produced greater frequency shifts than the corresponding trans substituent. .
