Reactive Blue 5 [16823-51-1] on cellophane or Na zincate-treated cellophane dyed from water, water-acetone (I), formamide-I, and DMSO-I mediums. The extent of aggregation was in the order: water >water-I >formamide-I 3DMSO-I. The lightfastness of dyes as indicated by characteristic fading curves also follow the above order. The dyeings on sodium zincate-treated cellophane showed higher lightfastness due to better dye penetration due to elimination of skin structure.
