(HF, SiF4) (1-3 g/m3) and SiO2 (0.6-4.0 g/m3) in the gases in the prodn. of di-K hexafluorozirconate (I) [16923-95-8]. The content of I in the gases is 5 g/m3. The amt. of gas produced is 4200 m3/h and the temp. is 285°. I is removed in the cyclone at 85% effectiveness and F compds. and SiO2 are removed in the scrubbers with 85-97% effectiveness. The gas velocity in the scrubbers is 3.5-5 m/s.

The finished wool was fully machine washable for 310 domestic wash cycles. There was poor correlation between data from vertical burn tests and limiting O index.
