Na2SiO3 90, MgSiF6 10, H2O 60 parts for 3 hr at (80.degree.) and 50 parts 30% H2SiO3 colloidal soln. The resulting inorg. compn. was coated on an asbestos slate plate (sp. gr. 2.1, CaO 0.02%) to give a 35-.mu. coating film which was cured 30 min at 230.degree., giving a decorative plate with good flame resistance and surface hardness. .
