DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 51 (Fossil Fuels, Derivatives, and Related Products) The synthesis of oil-sol.Some commonly used reagents like 17102-64-6 and 9003-01-4 are used in this experiment. viscosity-reducing agent for extra-viscous crude oil was introduced. A polyacrylic acid with certain mol. mass was synthesized, then sorbic alc. and stearic acid were added to it separatively, thus the oil-sol. viscosity-reducing agent was obtained by 2-step esterification. The effects of the reaction conditions on the viscosity-reducing result of the product were studied. The optimum reaction conditions were obtained: the ratio of polyacrylic acid:sorbic alc.:stearic acid 1:0.6:0.6, reaction temp. 110-115°, reaction time 5-7 h. The effects of the dosage of the viscosity-reducing agent and temp. on the viscosity-reducing result were also studied. The best viscosity-reducing result was obtained when the concn. of the viscosity-reducing agent in crude oil was 0.8 g/L and temp. was 42.5-50.0°. The viscosity-reducing agent have simple synthesis, high yield, and good viscosity-reducing property for extra-viscous crude oil. .
