Dependence was produced by i.p. administration of EtOH, supplemented by EtOH delivered by s.c. implanted silastic tube. Administration of the reduced pterins at relatively high doses did not reduced the magnitude of the alc. withdrawal syndrome. .

Prior administration of EtOH [64-17-5] with I or II increased serum levels of I but depressed the increase in serum II. I appeared to be transported across the gut unmetabolized.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 64-17-5 and 6779-87-9 There was an increased level of 7,8-dihydrobiopterin (III) [6779-87-9] in serum after administration of I, suggesting that I and/or its oxidn. product III are slowly transported across the gut in man. .
