The thermal stability of ED-AlEt3 complex decreased in the following order: Et 2,4,6-trimethylbenzoate [1754-55-8] ? Et p-anisate (I) [94-30-4] 3 Et p-toluate (II) [94-08-6] > Et benzoate (III) [93-89-0] ? Et methacrylate (IV) [97-63-2]. The effects of the ED on the catalytic activity decreased in the following order: I ~ II > III ? IV. A mechanism concerning the formation of active centers and decompn. of ED-AlEt3 complex was proposed. The structure of the isotactic active site was not always stable during the polymn. because AlEt3 attacked Lewis base and reduced electron donating ability (coordinating ability or stereoregulating ability). .
