DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 22 (Physical Organic Chemistry) The title redn. of 2-O2NC6H4R (I; R = Cl, Me, Et) and 2,6-Me2C6H3NO2 at a Cu(Hg) cathode gave the corresponding 3,4-R(H2N)C6H3OH and 4,3,5-H2N(Me)2C6H2OH, resp., as the major products, along with 2-H2NC6H4R (II; same R). The yield of phenolic products passed through a max. at -400 to -600 mV (vs. SCE), and that of II increased with the potential to -1200 mV. I (R = CO2H, OH, NH2) gave only the corresponding II under these conditions, in yields which increased to max.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 95-55-6 and 17609-80-2 values at -500 to -700 mV. .
