Int., 11(3), 185-8 (English) 1978. CODEN: TRBIBK. ISSN: 0301-679X. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 51 (Fossil Fuels, Derivatives, and Related Products) The effect of Cereclor 42 L and 51 L, chlorinated paraffins, tricresyl phosphate [1330-78-5], Zn dialkyl dithiophosphate, dibenzyl disulfide [150-60-7], di-Bu chlorendate [1770-80-5], and Bu trichloroacetate [3657-07-6] extreme pressure additives on the anticorrosion properties of paraffinic oil (viscosity 15.3 cSt at 37.8° in the presence or absence alkyl-substituted succinic acid, N-methyl- [107-97-1] or N-oleyl glycine [67616-67-5], and polyisobutenyl succinimide corrosion inhibitors, were examd. The extreme pressure additives improved the anticorrosion properties of the oil contg. no anticorrosion additives. The anticorrosion properties of the oil contg. the corrosion inhibitors and the extreme pressure additives were similar to those obsd. in the absence of the extreme pressure additives. The antiwear properties of the oil contg. the extreme pressure additives were not affected by the presence of the corrosion inhibitors. The extreme pressure properties of the oil contg. the extreme pressure additives were deteriorated by the presence of the corrosion inhibitors.
