This complex is stable in the matrix but undergoes an intracage reaction upon irradn.Some chemicals with cas registry numbers like 17829-05-9 are also used. with light corresponding to the S1 ? S0 absorption of HNO. The product methyl(nitrosomethyl)amine (MNA) is further converted to its rotational isomers by raising the matrix temp. to 33 K. The original MNA mol. can be recovered from the isomers upon irradn. with IR light at 12 K. ..
