Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by dimethyl sulfoxide. This reaction also can produce HCl, 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyl-3-vinyl-trisiloxane and C₂₄H₅₄O₇Si₈. This reaction will need reagent methyl(vinyl)dichlorosilane, hexamethyldisiloxane. The yield is about 74%.

Uses of Methyltris(trimethylsiloxy)silane: it can be used to produce tetramethylsilane in heating. It will need reagent Ga, I₂. The yield is about 90%.
