DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Section cross-reference(s): 28 P esters of amidoximes I (m = 0-2; n = 0 or 1; X = S or O; R1 and R2 = H or alkyl; R3 alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkylene, arylene, heterocyclic, etc.; R4 or R5 = alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio,m alkylimino, etc., Z = CH2 or substituted C:N) were prepd. and used as insecticides and acaricides. Thus, 2,2-dimethyl-3-hydroxyimino-2,3,5,6-tetrahydroimidazo[2,1-b]thiazole (II) [81410-91-5] was prepd. by treating 2-chlorohydroxamoyl chloride [1794-86-1] in MeOH at 0° with 2-imidazolidinethione [96-45-7]. II (500 ppm) gave excellent control of bean aphid, two-spotted mite, southern armyworm, Mexican bean beetle, and housefly. Different formulations of I are given. .

ISSN: 0006-6648. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 4 (Toxicology) Dichloroformoxime (Cl2C:NOH) [1794-86-1] was detd. by mixing an Me2CO soln. with 0.1% g-nitrobenzylpyridine in Me2CO and 0.3% aq. Hg(CN)2, and measuring the color at 500 nm after 15 min. Chloroisonitrous acetone (MeCOCClNOH) [5471-68-1] was detd. by hydrolyzing (boiling with HCl), and oxidizing the NH2OH formed with 0.5% I in HOAc, mixing with aq. sulfanilic acid, eliminating the excess I with 1% aq. Na2S2O3, and coupling with 0.5% aq. a-naphthylamine-HCl. The color was measured at 520 nm. Absorbance increased linearly with concn. for 0.4-5.5 and 0.75-7.5 mg/mL, resp. .
