I was coupled with sulfosuccinimidyl 4-(p-maleimidophenyl)butyrate and then conjugated with anti-a-fetoprotein (anti-AFP) monoclonal antibody A4-4. The HPLC Rf values of the AFP-sulfopeptide-antibody conjugate and the sulfopeptide-antibody conjugate are nearly the same, demonstrating that the neg. charge of AFP does not influence Rf values of antigen-antibody reaction products. .
