DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 64 (Pharmaceutical Analysis) Section cross-reference(s): 63 On heating azintamide (I) [1830-32-6] soln. with a soln. of p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde [100-10-7] soln. in 7 mol/kg H2SO4, a yellow color is developed with an absorption max. at 450 nm. The results were compared to those obtained by direct spectrometry at 258 nm. The method is sensitive and gives accurate results with av. percentage mean recoveries of 100.16, 99.84 and 100.30 for the drug, dispensed in 2 tablet forms and as effervescent granules. The direct UV method is not applicable in the case of the effervescent granules. Absorption vs. 1830-32-6 which is the cas registry number of some chemical is mentioned. concn. was linear up to 0.55 g/L of the drug. ..

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 64 (Pharmaceutical Analysis) Azintamide (I) [1830-32-6] was detd. in samples and pharmaceuticals after extn. with CHCl3, using gas chromatog. with several different columns. Silar (10%) on 100-120 mesh Diatomite CAW was the most efficient column. Good mean recoveries were obtained for pure I (98.9%) and in pharmaceuticals (97.5%). There were no differences between the proposed method and a direct UV spectrophotometric method. The proposed method was simple and accurate, and should be used as a stability-indicating method.
