DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 8 (Radiation Biochemistry) The blood distribution and uptake of different chem. forms and concns. of 67Ga, 59Fe, 167Tm, and other lanthanides by implanted mammary carcinoma in mice were investigated. The lanthanides assocd. mainly with albumin in blood serum. The highest tumor/blood ratios were obtained with the less stable metal complexes. Coinjection of stable Fe with 67Ga, but not with 167Tm or 169Yb, enhanced the tumor/blood ratio of the nuclide. The results are discussed in relation to tumor imaging. ..
