Phenylacetic acid increased the shoot peptides. N in the roots was not affected by any treatment.

In the whole seed, 2,6-dichlorophenylacetic acid increased total sol. N and decreased total P. 2-Chlorophenylacetic acid and phenylacetic acid decreased N, P, and carbohydrates in the embryo.
