DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 63 (Pharmaceuticals) Enteric-coated therapeutical granules consist of a nonsteroidal active substance core, a 1st coating adhered to the core, and a 2nd coating adhered to the 1st coating. The ratio of the core to the 1st coating is 1:1 to and the wt. of the enteric coating is 1-20% of the entire coated granule. The core and the 1st coating may be the same or different materials. Thus, core granules were prepd. contg. 90% aspirin [50-78-2], and 10% starch. Therapeutic coat components prepd. from a mixt. of aspirin 94.0, poly(vinylpyrrolidone) 4.0 and Na starch glycolate 2.0% by wt. were slurried with a 1:1.5 (wt./vol.) ratio of iso-PrOH. The core granules were then coated with 40.7% of the slurry. The therapeutically coated granules were sieved and coated with a 5% coating soln. prepd. from a mixt. of hydroxypropyl Me cellulose phthalate [9050-31-1] 90.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 54-21-7 and 18917-89-0 0% and acetylated monoglycerides 10.0%. The enteric-coated particles were then sieved to a size of 0.5-1.2 min and formulated. .
