DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 1 (Pharmacodynamics) The min. myorelaxant dose of ritetronium [62931-17-3] for rabbits (causing a weakening of the neck muscles) was 0.045 mg/kg, i.v., and for cats the min. dose was 0.1 mg/kg. The drug required 25-35 min to reach its full effect. Nivaline [1953-04-4] and proserine [114-80-7] each completely prevented nerve-muscle blockade by ritetronium when given to exptl. animals at 0.1 mg/kg and 4-6 mg/kg, resp. Ritetronium had no blocking effect on the symapthetic or parasympathetic ganglia. It was twice as weak as tubocurarine [57-95-4] in decreasing blood pressure.

I improved the rhythm of the bioelec. activity. The amplitude gradually increased and was stabilized.
