Uses of Silane,1,1'-(1,2-ethanediyl)bis[1,1-dimethyl-: it can be used to produce 1-[(2-dimethylsilanyl-ethyl)-dimethyl-silanyloxy]-cyclooctene at temperature of 40 - 50 ℃. This reaction will need reagent AgOTf, RhCl₃(iPr-Pybox and solvent CH₂Cl₂ with reaction time of 5 hours. The yield is about 96%.
