Seedling stand establishment was greater with the Cruiser and Poncho ST treatments compared to untreated check. The Diazinon and Malathion OTT treatments did not protect seedlings any better than the untreated check. The Warrior and Lorsban OTT treatments increased stand counts compared to untreated check. The Empower, Force, and Thimet IF treatments did not much increase the stand counts compared to untreated check. The Fortress IF treatment increased the stand counts compared to untreated check. Stand counts were somewhat higher with the ST vs. IF or OTT treatments. The IF treatments appeared to be the least effective in increasing the bean stand establishment. .

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal; (online computer file) CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) An expt. consisting of a RCB design of 5 seed treatments, i.e., Poncho 600 (0.10 and 0.20 fl/oz), Gaucho 480 (0.16 and 0.32 fl/oz), and Cruiser 5FS (0.19 fl/oz), and an untreated control replicated 4 times was seeded using a small plot drill on Apr. 7, 2004 at the USDA-ARS Western Regional Plant Materials Introduction Center at Central Ferry, WA. All 5 treatments provided significantly better control of Russian wheat aphid (RWA) compared with the untreated control. 210880-92-5 and 138261-41-3 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. Both rates of Poncho and the high rate of Gaucho gave significantly better control than the other 2 treatments and the untreated control. Heads per plant were significantly higher for the higher rate of Poncho compared with the other treatments and the untreated control. Since RWA appeared just prior to anthesis, after the plant stand and head counts were established, differences in plant stand were ascribed to wireworm attack on the seedling plants. The 2 rates of Poncho and the higher rate of Gaucho gave better yields than the lower rate of Gaucho or Cruiser. .
