High calcium-tolerant deposit control method
High calcium-tolerant deposit control method. Becker, Larry Wayne (Betz Europe, Inc., USA). Eur. Pat. Appl. EP 109200 A1 23 May 1984, 16 pp. DESIGNATED STATES: R: BE, DE, FR, GB, IT, NL. (English). (European Patent Organization). CODEN: EPXXDW. CLASS: IC: C02F005-14. APPLICATION: EP 83-306302 18 Oct 1983. PRIORITY: US 82-437382 28 Oct 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 61 (Water) A method for controlling the deposition of scale in waters having a high Ca2+ content (3300 ppm) comprises adding 1-hydroxypropylidene-1,1-disphonic acid (HPDP) [21089-13-4] or a water sol. salt thereof to the water. The compd. controls deposits without substantial formation of an adduct ppt. with the Ca. The method is applicable in steam generating, cooling water, and a gas scrubbing systems. Thus, HPDP shows scale inhibition comparable to that of Dequest 2000 [aminotri(methylene phosphonic acid)] and Dequest 2010 (1-hydroxyethylidine-1,1-diphosphonic acid) for Ca3(PO4)2, CaSO4, and CaCO3. However, with 20 ppm active agent in solns. contg. 400 and 2000 ppm Ca2+, HPDP solns. remained clear whereas the Dequest materials formed excessive ppts. as shown by very cloudy conditions in the solns.
Method for formation of color image
Method for formation of color image. Hayashi, Hiroshi (Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd.In this study, 21089-13-4 and 2466-09-3 are also used., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 03160439 A2 10 Jul 1991 Heisei, 41 pp. (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. CLASS: ICM: G03C007-30. APPLICATION: JP 89-301078 20 Nov 1989. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 74 (Radiation Chemistry, Photochemistry, and Photographic and Other Reprographic Processes) A Ag halide color photog. material, which has on at least one side of a support at least 2 layers each contg. a nondiffusion oil-sol. coupler forming a dye upon coupling with the oxidized form of an arom. 1° amine color development agent and a silver Ag emulsion contg. 390 mol.% AgCl and having a different photosensitive wave region and with alkali consumption £2.6 mmol/m2, is processed by color development virtually in 20 s and immersing or coating a soln. of an org. phosphonic acid or its salt between the last processing bath and drying, wherein a total processing time takes £100 s from color development to drying. This photog. processing provides color prints of high quality and excellent storage stability under high temp. and humidity by super-rapid processing. .
