DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemicals) Dressing sunflower seed, naturally infected with S. libertiana sclerotia, with 300 mL Busan (I) [21564-17-0], 300 g Lekinol (mixt. of the mono- and dichloro-8-hydroxyquinoline) [65979-28-4], or 300 g Quinolate V-4-X (II-CuO mixt.) [39356-30-4]/100 kg completely suppressed germination of the sclerotia on seed incubated in vitro. The fungicides also suppressed the growth of Botrytis cinerea, Alternaria, Penicillium, Aspergillus, Mucor, Fusarium, Cladosporium, and bacteria on the seed.

In addn., benomyl [17804-35-2], thiophanate [23564-06-9], and carbendazim [10605-21-7] were also equally effective against C. acremonium. The non-systemic fungicides, captan [133-06-2], thiram [137-26-8], and du-Ter [76-87-9] were also effective. HPMTS [41206-16-0] and TCMTB [21564-17-0] inhibited corn seed germination.
