Some of their cas registry numbers are 15206-55-0 and 21932-54-7 ISSN: 0253-2964. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 29 (Organometallic and Organometalloidal Compounds) Section cross-reference(s): 30 In order to prep. new chiral borohydrides, e.g., I, possessing chirality on the dialkyl moieties, a series of B-alkoxydiisopinocampheylborinates were synthesized by treatment of diisopinocampheylborane with alcs. and reacted with excess of potassium hydride. Of these chiral borinic esters, only B-methoxydiisopinocampheyl borinate was converted into the corresponding dialkylmonoalkoxyborohydride I. In the asym. redn. of the selected ketones, I provided the corresponding alcs., e.g., 39% ee for 3-butyn-2-one. .
