The amorphous spray-dried drug forms gave higher apparent solubilities than the corresponding cryst. phases. The increase was from 10-fold for polythiazide to 1.1-fold for hydrochlorothiazide. The lower mol. wt. compds. seem to form amorphous phases less readily and when such phases are produced by spray-drying they have poor phys. 346-18-9 and 742-20-1 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. stability and give moderate enhancement in relatve apparent soly. The higher mol. wt. compds. have greater enhancements in soly. .
