DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Single application rates of 0.25 and 0.50 lb active ingredient/acre of Banvel 4S [2300-66-5], dicamba K salt (I K) [10007-85-9], dicamba Al salt [89935-92-2] and Weedone DP (2,4-D + dichlorprop) [53404-31-2] at 0.50 + 0.50 lb/acre did not significantly alter the quality of Penncross creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris). However, when applied at 1.0 lb/acre, Banvel 4S, Banvel II [1982-69-0], and I K formulations significantly lowered the quality 11-27 days after application. The K salt showed the most severe damage which lasted longer. With repeat applications, the damage was apparent within 4 days. The Al salt of I and Weedone DP applied at 1.0 lb/acre showed no significant damage to Penncross creeping bentgrass even with a repeat application. The 1983 observations made on Penncross were similar to those noted in 1982 on Seaside creeping bentgrass. I formulations as well as Weedone DP applied at the recommended rate and at higher rates did not permanently lower the visual quality of 2 creeping bentgrass cultivars. .
