The amine hydrochloride and the amine compds. were isolated and identified. The method could det. 20-250 mg I. The mean percentage found was 99.48%, and the procedure was applied to the detn. of I in tablets and I glycinate [2393-92-2] as the hydrochloride alone and in the injectable form. The title method has higher precision and is less time consuming than the procedure of the BP 1980.
