The solid product (20 g) was melted at 90.degree. and treated with 0.3 cm3 epichlorohydrin [106-89-8] to neutralize HBr, reduce the Gardner color no. from 7.7 to 5.4, and increase the light transmission at 550 m.mu. from 60 to 73%. .
