The results showed that these pesticides could be divided into 3 groups according to their influence on both enzymes: (1) I and permethrin markedly inhibited the activities of the nitrogenase and hydrogenase; (2) optunal and phenamiphos stimulated them; and (3) sumicidin and decamethrin possessed some stimulation only in medium with malate.
