The pastry compn. was applied to natural nails to lengthen them and exposed to 300-400 nm UV light at 8000 .mu.W/cm for 5 min. The hardened compn. had elastic binding modulus 11,382 kg/cm2; bending strength 409.5 kg/cm2; bending break elongation 5.34%; and 3.94 kg-cm2 adhesion to natural nail. The synthetic nails lasted .gtoreq.2 weeks with good splitting resistance and produced no irritation or sensitization. .
