DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 79 (Inorganic Analytical Chemistry) Luminescence methods have been developed for detn. of Ru and Os with 1,10-phenanthroline in solns. with relative detection limits of 1 ′ 10-5 and 1 ′ 10-3 mg/mL, resp. Sorption-luminescence methods have also been developed with abs. detection limits of 2 ′ 10-2 and 8 ′ 10-2 mg. An anal. scheme is described which enables the detn. of 10-7-10-6% Ru and Os in 5-10 g samples of ores and rocks. .
