Boc-Glu(OCH2Ph)-Ser[P(O)(OPh)2]-Leu-OCH2Ph was deblocked by hydrogenolysis in 40% CF3CO2H/AcOH to give H-Glu-Ser[P(O)(OPh)2]-Leu-OH.CF3CO2H (I). The Ph groups of I were cleaved by hydrogenolysis in 40% CF3CO2H/AcOH over 1 equiv PtO2/Ph group. .
