Liquid-liquid phase equilibrium in systems containing 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol
Liquid-liquid phase equilibrium in systems containing 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol. Lesteva, T. M.; Budantseva, L. S.; Chernaya, V. I.; Evstigneev, A. Yu. (Vses. Nauchno-Issled. Inst. Neftekhim. Protsessov, Leningrad, USSR). Prom-st. Sint. Kauch., (7), 2-5 (Russian) 1983. CODEN: PSKAD6. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 39 (Synthetic Elastomers and Natural Rubber) Section cross-reference(s): 68 Liq.-liq. equil. in mixts. of 3-methyl-1,3-butanediol (I) [2568-33-4] (a byproduct of isoprene [78-79-5] manuf.), 4,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane (II) [766-15-4], tert-BuOH (III) [75-65-0], hydrocarbons, HCHO [50-00-0], and H2O were detd. by chromatog. and titrn. The distribution coeffs. 78-79-5 and 142-82-5 are also in the experiment. of I decreased with increasing concn. of hydrocarbons. In C7H16 [142-82-5]-I-H2O at 60°, adding a small amt. of III increased the distribution coeff. of I 2-fold. The distribution coeff. of II between org. and aq. phases decreased slightly, and thatof III increased slightly, with increasing I concn. The liq.-liq. equil. of isobutane [75-28-5]-isobutylene [115-11-7]-H2O-I is also discussed. .
Vapor Pressures and Enthalpies of Vaporization of a Series of the 1,3-Alkanediols
All Rights Reserved. Vapor Pressures and Enthalpies of Vaporization of a Series of the 1,3-Alkanediols. Verevkin, Sergey P. (Department of Physical Chemistry, University of Rostock, Rostock 18055, Germany). Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 52(1), 301-308 (English) 2007 American Chemical Society. CODEN: JCEAAX. ISSN: 0021-9568. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 65 (General Physical Chemistry) Section cross-reference(s): 68, 69 Molar enthalpies of vaporization of a series of six 1,3-alkanediols were obtained from the temp. dependence of the vapor pressure measured by the transpiration method. A large no. of the primary exptl. results on temp. dependences of vapor pressures have been collected from the literature and have been evaluated in order to derive vaporization enthalpies at the ref. temp. 298.15 K. 24892-55-5 which is the cas registry number of some chemical is mentioned. The exptl. enthalpies of vaporization were checked for internal consistency. New exptl. results together with those selected from the literature have been recommended for thermochem. calcns. .
