Colored cement tiles
Colored cement tiles. (Dainippon Toryo Co., Ltd., Japan). Jpn. Kokai Tokkyo Koho JP 58147447 A2 2 Sep 1983 Showa, 9 pp. (Japanese). (Japan). CODEN: JKXXAF. 25608-33-7 and 67967-61-7 are cas registry numbers. These chemicals are also mentioned in this article. CLASS: IC: C08L033-06; C04B013-24; C04B041-32; C08K003-00. APPLICATION: JP 82-29491 25 Feb 1982. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) Weatherproof colored cement tiles are manuf. by priming the uncured cement tile surface first with a layer of dry thickness 40-100 m from a compn. of viscosity 2-30 P consisting of 30-300 parts H2O and 100 parts of a mixt. of acrylic emulsion resins 2-40, a bisphenol-type epoxy resin emulsion (as solids) 0.5-5, fillers 10-85, cement 5-60, colored pigments 0.1-15%, and a small amt. of polyamide hardening agent and then coating with a layer of thickness 15-50 m consisting of 60-200 parts solvent and 100 parts of a mixt. of acrylic resin 55-95, filler 0-15, and colored pigments 3-20%. Thus, an uncured cement tile surface was coated to thickness 300 m with a first compn. of 5:2:2:1 Me methacrylate (I)-Bu acrylate 2-butylhexyl acrylate-styrene copolymer [67967-61-7] (mol. wt. 1-2 ′ 105) 10, bisphenol-type epoxy resin (av. mol. wt. 600) 1, BaSO4 30, SiO2 20, cement 30, carbon black 0.1, TiO2 3.5, polyamide hardening agent 1, additives 4, and H2O 80 parts and then (30 m) with a 2nd compn. of 1:1 I-Et methacrylate copolymer [25685-29-4] 100, Solvesso 100 100, ethylene glycol Bu ether 5, BaSO4 2, carbon black 0.5, TiO2 5, and additives 4 parts, heated at 35° for 10 h, and cured in air for 10 days to give a colored cement tile having cellophane tape test adhesion value 50/50, unchanged by 20 cycles of 16 h at 5° and 8 h at 20° in slaked lime vapor atm., 35 freeze-thaw cycles of 16 h at -20° and 8 h at room temp., or 2000 h in a weatherometer. .
Miscibility of poly(styrene-co-arylonitrile) and poly(a-methyl styrene-co-acrylonitrile) with copolymers of methyl methacrylate
Miscibility of poly(styrene-co-arylonitrile) and poly(a-methyl styrene-co-acrylonitrile) with copolymers of methyl methacrylate. Goh, S. H.; Siow, K. S.; Yap, K. S. (Dep. Chem., Natl. Univ. Singapore 0511, Singapore). J. Appl. Polym. Sci., 29(1), 99-103 (English) 1984. CODEN: JAPNAB. ISSN: 0021-8995. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 36 (Physical Properties of Synthetic High Polymers) Section cross-reference(s): 37 a-Methylstyrene-acrylonitrile copolymer [25747-74-4] and acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer [9003-54-7] were miscible with Me methacrylate-Et methacrylate copolymer [25685-29-4] and with Me methacrylate-Bu methacrylate copolymer [25608-33-7]. All blends showed lower crit. soln. temps. Phase sepn. of these blends could not be induced by heating at £300°.
