Venous dilation was obsd. 4 min after I administration and reached a max of 22% at 20 min postadministration. The effective compliance of the total vascular system was increased 62% by I. Epicardial coronary artery dilation was obsd. 4 min after I administration and reached a max. of 12% at 20 min postadministration. With i.v. infusion of the I metabolite SIN-1 [33876-97-0], the threshold dose causing epicardial coronary dilation was 0.01-0.03 mg/kg/min, and that causing a decrease in arterial pressure was 3.3 mg/kg/min.
