Thus, adipic acid-m-xylylenediamine copolymer [25718-70-1] contg. 0.05% of 3-m-diam. colloidal silica was extruded into a 160-m film which was stretched 370% in the machine direction at 90°, stretched 380% across the machine direction at 95°, and heat set 20 s at 200° without relaxation to give a film having O permeability 5 ′ 10-14 cm3-cm/cm3-s-10 mm, coeff. of dynamic friction 0.71, and haze 0.36%, compared with 90 ′ 10-14, 1.1, and 0.52, resp., for a similarly treated nylon 6-based film.
