DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) Vinclozoline [50471-44-8], metalaxyl [57837-19-1] and etridiazole [2593-15-9], at 100 ppm, were phytotoxic to strawberry plants grown in hydroponic cultures; carbendazim [10605-21-7] and Et aluminum phosphite [39148-24-8] were nonphytotoxic. With 10 ppm vinclozoline, the root length and wt. of leaves decreased significantly. The residues in strawberry were in the order: Et Al phosphite > metalaxyl > vinclozoline > carbendazim > etridiazole. The limitations of the use of fungicides for the protection of plants grown in hydroponic culture are discussed.Except for chemicals metioned above, 10605-21-7 and 39148-24-8 are also used. .

DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 5 (Agrochemical Bioregulators) In seedling trials, 9 com. annual ornamental plants were sown in soil, artificially inoculated with Pythium species. The effectiveness of 6 antioomycetes fungicides for the control of Pythium species was compared. Etridiazole [2593-15-9], propamocarb [24579-73-5], phosethyl-Al [39148-24-8], metalaxyl [57837-19-1], furalaxyl [57646-30-7], and fenaminosulf [140-56-7] were tested as soil applications. All fungicides gave a statistically significant limitation of the disease. Phosetyl-Al (1.6 g/m2) showed inhibition comparable with the ref. fungicide etridiazole.There are some commonly used reagents with their cas registry numbers 39148-24-8 and 57837-19-1 in this article. Propamocarb (7 g/m2), metalaxyl (0.5 g/m2), and furalaxyl (0.25 g/m2) were significantly more effective when compared with etridiazole and fenaminosulf. Only metalaxyl induced redn. of plant growth at the highest applied concn. (1 g/m2). .
