The bufadienolide content of bulbs of U. maritima from Spain was 2.39, that of bulbs of U. pancration from 3 Italian sites was 1.74, 1.61, and 1.20%, resp., the bufadienolide content of bulbs of U. numidica from Greece was 0.26, and that of bulbs of U. 124-99-2 and 25955-03-7 which are cas registry numbers of chemicals are mentioned. aphylla from 2 Turkish sites was 0.24 and 0.16%, resp. The percentage contents of particular bufadienolides in these species depending on growing site and origin are tabulated. The no. of bufadienolide components was highest in U. numidica and lowest in U. pancration from Tropea and southern Italy. A seasonal variation in the glycoside content was established, with total bufadienolides being higher in autumn than in spring. Detailed distribution of total bufadienolides among plant parts and tissues is tabulated. .
