Thus, a fresh etching soln. contg. HNO3 170, hexyl cellosolve [112-25-4] 2.2, butyl carbitol [112-34-5] 4.5, caprylic acid [124-07-2] 0.Some commonly used reagents like 27253-43-6 is used in this experiment.6, triethanolamine salt of sulfonataed oleic acid (surfactant) 2.1, isopropylamine dodecylbenzenesulfonate [26264-05-1] 2.5, isostearic acid [30399-84-9] 5.1, polyethylene glycol mono(tert-octylphenyl) ether [9036-19-5] 1.7, and 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid [2809-21-4] 3.3 g/L was used to etch Mg plates for newspaper type. The etching depth was 7.5 mils, which gave satisfactory images. After letting the soln. stand idle for 18 h, the etching depth was 9.0 mils. Similar prior-art solns. not contg. the organophosphoric acid had etching depths of 12-16 mils which gave unacceptable images. .
