DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacodynamics) The urinary excretion and plasma levels of unchanged cinepazide (I) [23887-46-9] were detd. by spectrofluorometrically (plasma) and UV spectrophotometrically (urine) following I maleate [26328-04-1] administration (200 mg tablets and 80 mg i.v. or i.m.) to healthy adults. Following oral administration, the max. I plasma levels obsd., 3.6-8.3 mg/mL, occurred by 30-45 min; I had an elimination rate const. of -0.566 and a t1/2 of 75 min. I plasma t1/2 was 60 and 30 min after i.m. and i.v. injection, resp. Plasma I peaked (3.08 mg/mL) at 5 min following i.v. injection. The urinary t1/2 of I was 100 and 120 min after i.v. and oral administration, resp.
