Preparation of 1-Benzylpiperazine:
1-Benzylpiperazine can be prepared by 4-benzyl-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester. This reaction will need reagent KOH and solvent methanol by heating. The yield is about 69%.


Uses of 1-Benzylpiperazine:
It can be used to produce 4-benzyl-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid amide at temperature of 50 - 60 °C.  It will need solvent H2O with reaction time of 30 min. The yield is about 83%.
