DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 8 (Radiation Biochemistry) Photochem. redn. of membrane-bound octadecyl viologen (C18V2+) by Zn meso-tetra(4-N-methylpyridyl)porphyrin (ZnTMPyP4+) and K2C2O4 (an electron donor) enclosed within dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine vesicles was examd.In this experiment, several chemicals are used like 64055-17-0 and 28850-44-4 TZnTMPyP4+ (triplet state ZnTMPyP4+) was destroyed, presumably by reaction with C2O42-. The yield of the product of the reaction of TZnTMPyP4+ with C2O42- was estd., and the possibility of direct formation of C18V+· by reaction of C18V+ with TZnTMPyP4+ was demonstrated. .
