- Effect of sodium copper chlorophyllin on lipid peroxidation. VII. Effect of its administration on the stability of rat liver lysosomes. Sato, Masaki; Konagai, Kiseko; Kuwana, Toshiko; Kimura, Ryohei; Murata, Toshiro (Shizuoka Coll. Pharm., Shizuoka 422, Japan). Chem. Pharm. Bull., 32(7), 2855-8 (English) 1984. CODEN: CPBTAL. ISSN: 0009-2363. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacology) The effect of sodium copper chlorophyllin (Cu-Chl-Na) [28302-36-5], a mixt. of copper chelates of chlorophyll derivs., on the peroxidative and hypo-osmotic fragility of lysosomes was investigated using the lysosome-contg. (3500′g) fraction of rat liver. When Cu-Chl-Na was given by i.p. injection 24 h prior to sacrifice, both ascorbic acid-induced lipid peroxidn. in 3500′g fraction and the concomitant release of acid phosphatase and aryl sulfatase from lysosomes were inhibited to similar extents. These inhibitory effects were correlated with the content of Cu-Chl-Na or substance(s) derived from Cu-Chl-Na in the 3500′g fraction. Further, the administration of Cu-Chl-Na significantly depressed the release of the two lysosomal enzymes caused by the incubation of 3500′g fraction in 0.18 M sucrose medium. These results suggest that Cu-Chl-Na may function in vivo as a membrane stabilizer of liver lysosomes through its antioxidative and direct actions on the lysosomal membranes.

- All Rights Reserved. Optical absorption of sodium copper chlorophyllin thin films in UV-vis-NIR region. Farag, A. A. M. (Physics Department, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University, Cairo 11757, Egypt).Chemical with cas number 28302-36-5 also plays role. Spectrochimica Acta, Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 65A(3-4), 667-672 (English) 2006 Elsevier B.V. CODEN: SAMCAS. ISSN: 1386-1425. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 73 (Optical, Electron, and Mass Spectroscopy and Other Related Properties) The optical absorption studies of Na Cu chlorophyllin thin films (SCC), prepd. by spray pyrolysis, in the UV-visible-NIR region is reported for the 1st time. Several new discrete transitions are obsd. in the UV-visible region of the spectra in addn. to a strong continuum component in the IR region. The spectra of the IR absorption allow characterization of vibration modes for the powder and thin films of SCC. The absorption spectrum recorded in the UV-visible region showed different absorption bands, the Soret (B) in the region 340-450 nm and Q-band in the region 600-700 nm and other band labeled N in the 240-320 region. Some important spectral parameters optical absorption coeff. (a), molar absorptivity (emolar), oscillator strength (f), elec. dipole strength (q 2) and absorption half bandwidth (Dl) of the principle optical transitions were evaluated. The anal. of the absorption coeff. in the absorption region revealed direct transitions and the energy gap was estd. as 1.63 eV. Discussion of the obtained results and their comparison with the previous published data are also given. .
