Synthesis and anti-herpes simplex activity of analogs of phosphonoacetic acid
Synthesis and anti-herpes simplex activity of analogs of phosphonoacetic acid. Herrin, Thomas R.; Fairgrieve, John S.; Bower, Robert R.; Shipkowitz, Nathan L.; Mao, James C. H. (Div. Antibiot. Nat. Prod., Abbott Lab., North Chicago, Ill., USA). J. Med. Chem., 20(5), 660-3 (English) 1977. CODEN: JMCMAR. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacodynamics) Section cross-reference(s): 29 Eleven monoesters of phosphonoacetic acid were prepd. and tested for activity against herpes simplex virus-induced DNA polymerase [9012-90-2] and against herpes dermatitis in mice. The carboxyl esters were prepd. by acid-catalyzed esterification or reaction of choloroacetic acid esters with tris(trimethylsilyl) phosphite [1795-31-9] followed by hydrolysis. Phosphonic acid esters were prepd. 13040-68-1 and 9012-90-2 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. from alkyl bis(trimethylsilyl) phosphite with benzyl chloracetate [140-18-1] followed by deprotection, or by the reaction of dimethyl phenyl phosphite [2946-61-4] with benzyl bromoacetate [5437-45-6] followed by hydrogeneolysis. The low-mol.-wt. carboxyl esters showed some activity in the enzyme test, with propyl phosphonoacetate [62591-72-4] having activity comparable to phosphonacetic acid; the propyl ester was the only active compd. in the herpes dermatitis test. .
Reaction of phosphorus(III) acid esters with carbon tetrachloride
Reaction of phosphorus(III) acid esters with carbon tetrachloride. IV. Degree of charge transfer in DA complexes. Krutikov, V. I.; Maslennikov, I. G.; Lavrent'ev, A. N. (Leningr. Tekhnol. Inst., Leningrad, USSR). Zh. Obshch. Khim., 53(9), 1982-5 (Russian) 1983. CODEN: ZOKHA4. ISSN: 0044-460X. 102-85-2 and 2946-61-4 which are cas registry numbers of substances are two of reagents here. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 29 (Organometallic and Organometalloidal Compounds) Section cross-reference(s): 22 The donor-acceptor reaction in the system RP(OR1)2 (R = Et, BuO, Ph, HCF2CF2CH2O; R1 = Me, Et, Bu, hexyl, HCF2CF2CH2, F3CCH2)-CCl4 was studied. The magnitude of the degree of charge transfer in the complexes was detd. from IR and show good correlation with the enthalpy of complex formation. .
