The base oil is composed of polyglycols, natural arom.-free hydrocarbon oils, synthetic aliph. or cycloaliph. hydrocarbon oils, polyolefins and/or aliph. ester oils. The soap is composed of Li, Mg, Ca, and/or Al salts of aliph. fatty acids. Additives include antioxidants, extreme-pressure additives, corrosion inhibitors and other additives. Thus, a lubricating grease contg. polypropylene glycol [25322-69-4] 800, Al distearate [300-92-5] 180, tocopherol 5, CaCO3 10, and Ca alkylsulfonate 5 kg had a dropping point 11°, penetration at 25° 0.1 mm 250, good oxidn., load, and anticorrosion properties. It was colorless and without free bases.
