Production method of this chemical: The 1-Naphthalenecarboxylicacid, 4-(bromomethyl)- could be obtained by the reactant of 4-methoxymethyl-1-naphthoic acid. This reaction needs the reagent of HBr, and the solvent of benzene. The yield is 100 %.

The 1-Naphthalenecarboxylicacid, 4-(bromomethyl)- could be obtained by the reactant of 4-methoxymethyl-1-naphthoic acid

Uses of this chemical: The 1-Naphthalenecarboxylicacid, 4-(bromomethyl)- could react with diazomethane to obtain the 4-Bromomethyl-1-naphthoic acid methylester. This reaction needs the solvent of diethyl ether. The yield is 90 %.
