DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 1 (Pharmacodynamics) All 26 of the N-(1-adamantyl)-N'-substituted piperazines studied had hypothermic effects, affected hexenal, medinal, and chloral hydrate sleeping times, had M- and N-cholinolytic properties, and affected responses to phenamine and reserpine. N(1-adamantyl)piperazine-2HCl [30537-92-9] and its N'-methyl [30537-94-1], N'-ethyl [38789-55-8], N'-phenyl [38916-93-7], N'-benzyl [19984-41-9], and N'-hydroxyethyl [37819-61-7] derivs. were most active. I.p. LD50 doses of all compds. in mice were given.
